Strutter Hat Pattern (free pattern)
May 22, 2021
Everyone needs a hat that can be stuffed into a bag or glovebox and ready at a moments notice when the weather turns cold! This unisex free knitting hat pattern is a super quick knit and a lot of fun to make.
I love a good unisex knit hat pattern that can be thrown in any bag and ready for any adventure ahead. The Strutter Hat is meant to be thrown in a hiking backpack in case the altitude brings cooler weather or into your glovebox for when you end up out exploring later into the night than you expected.
The Strutter Hat hat is a simple and quick knitting pattern that was a design I came up with when I wanted a hat that didn’t have a traditional brim and didn’t call out for a pom to be put on top. I wanted something I could borrow from my husband during one of the many times I don’t bring enough layers to wear!
Enjoy the free Strutter Hat knitting pattern below. And if you love it, please share this link with friends and help spread the love!
STRUTTER Hat Pattern
inspired by kiss
Sometimes beauty is in the simplicity of things. I am a unisex hat that has lovely texture and I look splendid on any male, female, child, or rock star’s head. My pattern consists of a combination of knits and purls and I will knit up excellent in any color you choose.

Pattern is a multiple of 10. You can make your hat larger or smaller by adding or subtracting multiples of 10. You will need more yarn if you make your hat larger.
When you get to the decrease section and the stitches begin to become tight around your needle, switch to your preferred method of working in the round – DPNs, two circular needles, or magic loop.
